What becomes a 4.5 lbs. lobster most? Butter, of course. Lobster season has begun in CA & along the PCH it isn’t uncommon to see fishermen suiting up to night scuba for these bugs. It’s odd; looking like a para-military op is active on my commute home. But it is amusing. This crustacean was meaty, salty and tender. Flashbacks to Cape Cod & baiting the pots with Aunt Eva. She would want to pull enough lobsters to offset the cost of the permit for the pots. Then she felt her job was done. I’m of the school where Maine’s lobster’s sweetness & salt are the end-all
